This Live Production of the night of Jesus’ birth.

The Road to Bethlehem will showcase two days of performances, and rest assured, there will be ample space available in the Inn, with no limitations on seating.

*Please note: Kulaqua is primarily a user group facility, but on these dates the Water Park is available to the Community.

Due to reoccurring situations with alcohol and glass containers encountered at the Water Park on Community Days. Camp Kulaqua will be carrying out a bag and cooler check to enter the park. No alcohol or glass containers are permitted on-premises. We regret any inconvenience and hope to see you out here on Community Days!

Bring sunscreen! The water is cool, but the sun is HOT! And we wouldn’t want you to get a sunburn. We do not allow alcohol or smoking on the premises. You’ll probably work up an appetite, so feel free to bring food and coolers, but remember – no glass containers will be allowed.

We are a Christian facility and request that only modest swimsuits be worn. If in doubt, please bring a cover-up to wear over your swimsuit. No profanity is permitted and no music via speakers / bluetooth devices to be played. We offer overhead music via our system.

Here are some of the park rules you’ll need to to remember:

 

  • Our goal at River Ranch Water Park is for your outing to be a positive, safe – and let’s not forget FUN experience!
  • Kulaqua is primarily a user group facility, but on these dates the Water Park is available to the Community.
  • We are a Christian facility and request that only modest swimsuits be worn. If in doubt, please bring a cover up to wear over your swim suit.
  • Bring sunscreen! The water is cool, but the sun is HOT! And we wouldn’t want you to get a sunburn.
  • River Ranch Water Park opens at 10 am and closes at 5:30 pm on Community Event Days so make sure you come with plenty of time to enjoy your day in the sun.

Welcome to Camp Kulaqua’s Summer Camp!

Camp Kulaqua’s Summer Camp offers a summer camp experience rich in fun, friendship, and adventure while in a Christian environment. Our unique Summer Camp program allows campers ages 7 to 17 to come to camp at the same time while providing camper’s their own individualized experience.

Each age group is divided into tracks: Cub Camp (ages 7-9), Junior Camp (ages 10-12), & Teen Camp (ages 13-17). We have found that providing a camper with a program that is specifically designed for them, they are happier and more interested.

Our goals for your camper at Summer Camp are:

1. To see Jesus in our staff, and to help campers build a relationship  with Jesus Christ.
2. To build memories through a care-free environment and enjoyable activities and friendships.
3. To know your child is cared for. Kulaqua is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and follows their standards.
4. Promoting self-esteem by providing activities that progressively build skill levels and teach positive interaction with others.

~ ABOUT OUR CAMP PROGRAMS ~

Cub Camp

Ages 7-9

Your young camper’s adventure at summer camp is about to begin. Our Cub Camp counselors are trained through an ACA accredited program especially for this age group and you can rest assured that your camper will be taken care of by our energetic staff. They will rotate throughout the day’s activities and evenings programs with 24 hr. supervision of their assigned counselor. Cub campers will stay with their counselor/assistant counselor through the entire week and experience all that camp has to offer with their cabin family. Camp has designed a program just for their age group, giving them worship songs they will enjoy and skits they’ll love. We want to bring God to your child in a way that they will be able to experience His love and come to know Him in a lasting relationship.

Junior Camp

Ages 10-12

This is a great camp experience for the camper looking for adventure. We encourage each junior camper to exercise their enthusiastic spirit by choosing two of their favorite activities to enjoy every weekday morning. Each morning, campers will attend the classes they selected during registration. In the afternoon, they will rotate through activities with their cabin mates. No matter what, your camper will be able to enjoy all that summer camp has to offer. Each day is started with a special morning program, and each day is ended with a fun worship service and devotional. We have special programs and activities planned for your camper and we look forward to sharing our excitement with them. Our hope is for your camper to enjoy activities throughout the day, building new friendships through the week, and to experience God’s love through his/her lifetime. We have all this and more planned for your Junior camper.

Teen Camp

Ages 13-17

Summer Camp for Teens should be a great experience, not a bunch of boring stuff to keep them busy! We’ve put together a camp where they can hang out and enjoy programs and activities that were designed with them in mind. Special games and events are planned for your teen that will include the activities on camp with some creative twists of our own. Your teen will also be able to sign up for activities they wish to enjoy while at camp.

REGISTER FOR TEEN CAMP

Horse Mountain Adventure

Ages 13-16

July 8-16, 2023

Camp Kulaqua is going to the mountains! Transportation is included in this trip as we travel to Camp Blue Ridge, located in a small town of Virginia, and explore the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains on horseback! Prepare for a week of fun as we ride thru the mountainside, chase waterfalls through the national park, explore views along the Blue Ridge Parkway, swim in the natural springs & on-site lake, cook over the fire, and so much more!

We will go to the on-site barn and tack up horses, spend time learning about horse care, and then hit the trail with our guide. Each day will be different and full of excitement. In addition to the trail rides, we will be exploring the local area where there is much to see and do! Crabtree Falls is just a few miles from our cabin, with a natural waterfall and hiking trails. We will go berry picking at a nearby farm, hike the Blue Ridge parkway trails, and so much more.

*Basic horse experience is required by Kulaqua for campers to attend.*

What is Camp Blue Ridge? A: This is another adventist camp located in the George Washington National Park, and just a few miles from Blue Ridge Parkway. This secluded camp has cabins, activities, and tons of trails to ride along.

What are the travel plans for the trip? A: Transportaiton is included in this trip. We will be leaving very early Sunday morning from Camp Kulaqua and traveling as a group in our camp vans driven by Kulaqua staff. Dropoff will be Saturday night, July 2, and we will return the following Sunday in the early afternoon

Where will you be staying? A: We are staying in a cabin at Camp Blue Ridge, and it has bunk beds for each of our campers. It has all the amentities we need to cook our own meals, hang out in the living room, and have worship outside by the fire.

What is does a typical day look like? A: We will be starting each day by going to the nearby barn to feed the horses and get them prepped. Next our trail rides will be in the mornings or afternoons, riding through the Blue Ridge mountains, thru streams, and seeing the mountainside. After our fill of horses, we will have time for activities around camp that include Go-Carts, Swimming in the Lake, or we may even go pick berries at a nearby farm for our dessert that evening. The local Crabtree Falls is only a few miles from the camp and there are more waterfalls to find. We will roast marshmallows, make homemade pies over the fire, and enjoy being surrounded by God’s great outdoors.

What your staff to camper ratio? A: Including our Summer Camp Director, your camper will have their counselor and an EMW certified (horse cerification for trail safety) camp staff on this Horse Mountain Adventure Camp. We are limiting this trip to 12 campers and will have three Kulaqua staff on this trip.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Dr. Heather Thompson Day is an interdenominational speaker, an ECPA bestseller, and has been a contributor for Christianity Today and Newsweek. She is also the host of Viral Jesus, a new podcast with Christianity Today which charts in the top 200 of all Christian podcasts in the U.S.

 Heather is an Associate Professor of Communication at Andrews University. She is passionate about supporting women, and runs an online community called I’m That Wife which has over 270k followers.

Heather’s writing has been featured on outlets like the Today Show, and the National Communication Association. She has been interviewed by BBC Radio Live and The Wall Street Journal.

She believes her calling is to stand in the gaps of our churches for young people. She is the author of 8 books; including I’ll See You Tomorrow, and It’s Not Your Turn.

She resides in Michigan, with her husband, Seth Day, and their three children, London, Hudson, and Sawyer Day.

Save the date for our III North American Division Pastor Evangelists BootCamp, to take place from May 1 – 4, 2023 in beautiful Kulaqua Retreat and Conference Center in High Springs, Florida.

Join hundreds of Pastors, Volunteer Lay Pastors, local church Elders, and some of the best practitioners in North America to network and talk about how to grow our churches, with the blessing of the Holy Spirit, through evangelism. During these two days we will discuss the culture of evangelism, personal preparation, proclamation presentations, appeals, baptism, reclamation, virtual evangelism, and some other vital aspects, that with the blessing of God, will help your church grow and take your ministry to the next level.

Please, share this invitation with your colleague pastors, volunteer lay pastors, and elders!

There will be two tracks – English and Español

The benefits of attending include practical teaching on how to plant a church, from some of our best church planters in North America, networking opportunities, experiential learning with other practitioners who are traveling the same journey, and in-depth, direct information on funding for church planting in North America.

The 2022 Fall Leadership Development Academy will be held November 18 – 20 at Kulaqua Retreat and Conference Center in High Springs.

The registration fee is $125 per person.

The deadline to register on-line is October 13th.

All forms and payment (please see “FLDA Checklist” below for assistance) must be sent to the Florida HOSA State Office with a postmark of October 14th or before.

Schools are free to choose if they will be staying overnight during the FLDA or not. If staying overnight, Chapter Advisors must make their own overnight reservations with Kulaqua Retreat and Conference Center or a nearby hotel which is a separate process and charge from the conference registration fee.

Florida HOSA will not be assigning, nor taking care of, overnight accommodations.

Included below is an Overnight Accommodations Information Sheet with contact info for Kulaqua Retreat and Conference Center and for two off-site major brand hotels near the camp (8 miles).

To reserve overnight accommodations at Kulaqua Retreat and Conference Center, the Chapter Advisor will need to use their on-line reservation page (click here for link to page).

In addition, here is a link to the different housing that is available at Kulaqua Retreat and Conference Center (Woodland Lodge Room, Family Chalet, Outback Cottage, Spring View Cottage, Deer Run Cottage, Ranch House, or Mini-Lodge), as well as the floor plan for each.

Overnight accommodations with Kulaqua Retreat and Conference Center must be paid after the date of Monday, October 24th whether a school attends or not. To not be charged, overnight accommodations with Kulaqua Retreat and Conference Center must be cancelled before Monday, October 24th.

If a school chooses to stay at an off-site hotel, that school is responsible for their own transportation each day.

2022 River Ranch Water Park Community Event Days

Kulaqua Retreat and Conference Center

*Please note: Kulaqua is primarily a user group facility, but on these dates the Water Park is available to the Community.

Due to reoccurring situations with alcohol and glass containers encountered at the Water Park on Community Days, Kulaqua will be carrying out a bag and cooler check to enter the park.

No alcohol or glass containers are permitted on-premises.

We regret any inconvenience and hope to see you out here on Community Days!

Bring sunscreen! The water is cool, but the sun is HOT! And we wouldn’t want you to get a sunburn. We do not allow alcohol or smoking on the premises. You’ll probably work up an appetite, so feel free to bring food and coolers, but remember – no glass containers will be allowed.

We are a Christian facility and request that only modest swimsuits be worn. If in doubt, please bring a cover-up to wear over your swimsuit.

Come ready to have some good, clean, family friendly fun!

Here are some of the park rules you’ll need to to remember:

 

  • Our goal at River Ranch Water Park is for your outing to be a positive, safe – and let’s not forget FUN experience!
  • Kulaqua is primarily a user group facility, but on these dates the Water Park is available to the Community.
  • We are a Christian facility and request that only modest swimsuits be worn. If in doubt, please bring a cover up to wear over your swim suit.
  • Bring sunscreen! The water is cool, but the sun is HOT! And we wouldn’t want you to get a sunburn.
  • River Ranch Water Park opens at 10 am and closes at 5:30 pm on Community Event Days so make sure you come with plenty of time to enjoy your day in the sun.
  • You’ll probably work up an appetite, so feel free to bring food and coolers, but remember – no glass containers will be allowed.
  • We do not allow alcohol or smoking on the premises.
  • Admission is $16.00 per person, and children 3 and under are free when accompanied by their parents

March 11th – 13th, 2022

2022 Florida Conference Men’s Ministries Convention invites all men ages 13+, on March 11-13, 2022 for their annual Men’s Ministries Convention held at Camp Kulaqua. Enjoy spectacular speakers, uplifting music, exceptional food, and wonderful fellowship at this retreat just for men.

The theme is ‘Undefeated’. Keynote speakers are Henry Wright, international speaker emeritus; Mike Tucker retired director/speaker of Faith for Today and creator/speaker for Mad About Marriage marriage enrichment seminars; Newton King, Senior Pastor, University SDA Church in Orlando; Newton Hoilette, Senior Pastor, Lehigh Acres SDA Church. There will also be numerous breakout seminars, inspirational music, communion and anointing service, and a baptism.

Dr. Annie Perez Ph.D. Psychologist and Director of Women’s Ministries Dr. Annie Pérez was born in New York and raised in Moca, Puerto Rico. Dr. Pérez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. She has a Doctoral degree in Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology. Lynell LaMountain is the Health Ministries Director for the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He also co-hosts Lifestyle Magazine, an award-winning television show produced by Faith For Today that averages three million viewers weekly.


Before joining the Southern Union Conference in 2014, Lynell was the Senior Manager of CREATION Life at AdventHealth Orlando. It’s been his honor and privilege to continue serving AdventHealth to train leaders worldwide in the CREATION Life philosophy and method.


Lynell is a speaker, published author and strategic intervention life coach. He is passionate about helping people experience the abundant life of Jesus Christ so they may add more life to their years and more years to their life.

Veronica Sommer-Hueston has worked in the Central Florida area as a massage therapist since 1990. Massage Therapy was a way to work through the University of Central Florida, where she obtained a B.A. in English. Mrs. Sommer-Hueston studied massage therapy in the U.S., China, and Costa Rica. Veronica specializes in sports massage, medical massage, Traditional Chinese Massage, structural alignment, lymphatic massage, and oncology massage. Hector and Martrice are the owners of Tribe Fitness and CrossFit in Altamonte Springs. Their focus is on improving their members’ strength, mobility, and cardio through their CrossFit and Boot Camp classes. Martrice leads Tribe’s fitness programming. He is a physical therapist who has achieved the CrossFit L1 certification and certifications from National Strength and Fitness and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Hector is pursuing his L1 certification and helps coach classes as well. In the 1918 pandemic, hydrotherapy was used as a nonpharmaceutical intervention to assist in decreasing the spread of the virus. Is the use of hydrotherapy relevant today?
Shirley Flores has been married to Ruben for 18 years. Together they have two children: Josh, 16, and Liz, 12. Shirley has been a nurse for 23 years and is currently a Doctor of Nursing Practice candidate in Lifestyle Therapeutics at Southern Adventist University. The title of her research study is Investigating the Effects of Contrast Bath and Finnish Sauna on the Immune Response: A Pilot Study. No alcohol or glass containers are permitted on-premises.

Bring sunscreen! The water is cool, but the sun is HOT! And we wouldn’t want you to get a sunburn. We do not allow alcohol or smoking on the premises. You’ll probably work up an appetite, so feel free to bring food and coolers, but remember – no glass containers will be allowed.

Here are some of the park rules you’ll need to to remember:


 


    

  • Our goal at River Ranch Water Park is for your outing to be a positive, safe – and let’s not forget FUN experience!
    • 

  • Kulaqua is primarily a user group facility, but on these dates the Water Park is available to the Community.
    • 

  • We are a Christian facility and request that only modest swimsuits be worn. If in doubt, please bring a cover up to wear over your swim suit.
    • 

  • Bring sunscreen! The water is cool, but the sun is HOT! And we wouldn’t want you to get a sunburn.
    • 

  • River Ranch Water Park opens at 10 am and closes at 5:30 pm on Community Event Days so make sure you come with plenty of time to enjoy your day in the sun.
    • 

  • You’ll probably work up an appetite, so feel free to bring food and coolers, but remember – no glass containers will be allowed.
    • 

  • We do not allow alcohol or smoking on the premises.

  • Admission is $14.00 per person, and children 3 and under are free when accompanied by their parents

All of Camp Kulaqua’s Summer Camp Programs offer a summer camp experience rich in fun, friendship, and adventure while in a Christian environment and Cowgirl’s Horsemanship Specialty Camp at Kulaqua is no exception.


This unique Summer Camp program is for girls 11 to 16, providing them a time to come to camp at the same time while providing camper’s their own individualized experience.


Each age group is divided into tracks:

About Kulaqua’s Horsemanship Camp for Girls


Our goals for your camper at all of our Summer Camp programs are:


1. To see Jesus in our staff, and to help campers build a relationship  with Jesus Christ.
 2. To build memories through a care-free environment and enjoyable activities and friendships.
 3. To know your child is cared for. Kulaqua is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and follows their standards.

Cowgirl’s Horsemanship Specialty Camp at Kulaqua


This camp is for girls ages 11-16


Does your camper dream of horses? Do they neigh in their sleep and post photos of horses all over their room?


Then Camp Kulaqua’s Horsemanship camp is the place for them! 


During this week of camp, your camper will have the opportunity to learn all of the basics of horse care including: grooming, feeding, equipment maintenance, and equine first aid.


Your camper will have their ‘own’ horse for the week that they get to groom, ride, and spend their week with!


Your cowgirl will learn basic riding technique and skills with their horse and come back full of stories from their trail bag.


Don’t worry, they will also get to participate in the other activities camp has to offer, like the water park, spring, and go-carts.


And if that isn’t fun enough, evening programs are full of upbeat songs, amusing skits, and a dynamic speaker!

  • Tack, helmets, and horses are provided to the campers.

  • Campers should pack extra pairs of riding jeans, closed-toed shoes, and comfortable shirts/riding attire.

Cub Camp


Ages 7-9


Cub Camp has designed a program designed for kids ages 7-9.

Junior Camp


Ages 10-12


Junior Camp is a great camp experience for boys and girls ages 10-12 looking for adventure!


Each day begins with a special morning program and fun activities of their choosing, and then each day is ends with a fun worship service and devotional.

At Kulaqua we believe that Teen Summer Camp should be a great experience, not just a bunch of boring stuff to keep them busy!


So we’ve put together a camp where they can hang out and enjoy programs and activities that were designed with them in mind.

Dear Friends & Campers,


Are you ready for camp? We are excited to welcome our 2021 season of summer camp and want to inform you about our opening registration dates, summer camp session dates, and current operating policies in the midst of Covid-19.
 We know the future is unknown in many regards.
 We understand the worry and the necessity of wellness.
 We believe that our children need something more in 2021.
 As the understanding of the pandemic continues to shift with more data, we also remain fluid at camp in our operating and sanitation policies. We may not know the full picture, but we are moving towards it.


Here is what we are currently doing:
 Our accreditation, American Camp Association, has provided us with a Field Guide for Camps, offering tactical details on how to implement guidance from the CDC as well as from state and local health authorities.
 We have been operating with our Covid-19 Operating Plan (can view here), and continue to monitor CDC and local authority guidance and regulations.
 We recognize that financial hardships from 2020 have fallen on many families, and we have NOT raised our summer fees for camp.

Camp Kulaqua’s Summer Camp offers a summer camp experience rich in fun, friendship, and adventure while in a Christian environment. Our unique Summer Camp program allows campers ages 13 to 17 to come to camp at the same time while providing camper’s their own individualized experience.


We have found that providing a camper with a program that is specifically designed for them, they are happier and more interested.


Our goals for your camper at Summer Camp are:


1. To see Jesus in our staff, and to help campers build a relationship  with Jesus Christ.
 2. To build memories through a care-free environment and enjoyable activities and friendships.
 3. To know your child is cared for. Kulaqua is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and follows their standards.

Summer Camp for Teens should be a great experience, not a bunch of boring stuff to keep them busy! We’ve put together a camp where they can hang out and enjoy programs and activities that were designed with them in mind. Special games and events are planned for your teen that will include the activities on camp with some creative twists of our own. Your teen will also be able to sign up for activities they wish to enjoy while at camp.

Cowgirl’s Horsemanship Specialty Camp


Ages 11-16


Does your camper dream of horses? Do they neigh in their sleep and post photos of horses all over their room? Then Camp Kulaqua’s Horsemanship camp is the place for them! During this week of camp, your camper will have the opportunity to learn all of the basics of horse care including grooming, feeding, equipment maintenance, and equine first aid. Your camper will have their ‘own’ horse for the week that they get to groom, ride, and spend their week with. Your cowgirl will learn basic riding techniques and skills with their horse and come back full of stories from their trail bag. Don’t worry, they will also get to participate in the other activities camp has to offer, like the water park, spring, and go-carts. And if that isn’t fun enough, evening programs are full of upbeat songs, amusing skits, and a dynamic speaker. This week is jam-packed with fun, activities, and God’s magnificent creature- the horse.

This is a great camp experience for the camper looking for adventure. We encourage each junior camper to exercise their enthusiastic spirit by choosing two of their favorite activities to enjoy every weekday morning. Each morning, campers will attend the classes they selected during registration. In the afternoon, they will rotate through activities with their cabin mates. No matter what, your camper will be able to enjoy all that summer camp has to offer. Each day is started with a special morning program, and each day is ended with a fun worship service and devotional. We have special programs and activities planned for your camper and we look forward to sharing our excitement with them. Our hope is for your camper to enjoy activities throughout the day, building new friendships through the week, and to experience God’s love through his/her lifetime. We have all this and more planned for your Junior camper.

Are you ready for camp? We are excited to welcome our 2021 season of summer camp and want to inform you about our opening registration dates, summer camp session dates, and current operating policies in the midst of Covid-19.
 We know the future is unknown in many regards.
 We understand the worry and the necessity of wellness.
 We believe that our children need something more in 2021.
 As the understanding of the pandemic continues to shift with more data, we also remain fluid at camp in our operating and sanitation policies. We may not know the full picture, but we are moving towards it.


Here is what we are currently doing:
 Our accreditation, American Camp Association, has provided us with a Field Guide for Camps, offering tactical details on how to implement guidance from the CDC as well as from state and local health authorities.
 We have been operating with our Covid-19 Operating Plan (can view here), and continue to monitor CDC and local authority guidance and regulations.
 We recognize that financial hardships from 2020 have fallen on many families, and we have NOT raised our summer fees for camp.
 We plan to continue moving forward in Summer 2021. You can find out more about our programs, ages, dates, and more on our website here:

All of Camp Kulaqua’s Summer Camp Programs offer a summer camp experience rich in fun, friendship, and adventure while in a Christian environment and Cub Camp at Kulaqua is no exception.


This unique Summer Camp program is for ages 7 – 9, providing them a time to come to camp at the same time while providing camper’s their own individualized experience.


Each age group is divided into tracks:

About Kulaqua’s Cub Camp 


Our goals for your camper at all of our Summer Camp programs are:


1. To see Jesus in our staff, and to help campers build a relationship  with Jesus Christ.
 2. To build memories through a care-free environment and enjoyable activities and friendships.
 3. To know your child is cared for. Kulaqua is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and follows their standards.

Cub Camp


Ages 7-9


Your young camper’s adventure at summer camp is about to begin. Our Cub Camp counselors are trained through an ACA accredited program especially for this age group and you can rest assured that your camper will be taken care of by our energetic staff. They will rotate throughout the day’s activities and evening programs with 24 hr. supervision of their assigned counselor. Cub campers will stay with their counselor/assistant counselor throughout the entire week and experience all that camp has to offer with their cabin family. Camp has designed a program just for their age group, giving them worship songs they will enjoy and skits they’ll love. We want to bring God to your child in a way that they will be able to experience His love and come to know Him in a lasting relationship.

Junior Camp


Ages 10-12


Junior Camp is a great camp experience for boys and girls ages 10-12 looking for adventure!


Each day begins with a special morning program and fun activities of their choosing, and then each day is ends with a fun worship service and devotional.

Ages 13-17


At Kulaqua we believe that Teen Summer Camp should be a great experience, not just a bunch of boring stuff to keep them busy!


So we’ve put together a camp where they can hang out and enjoy programs and activities that were designed with them in mind.

Cowgirl’s Horsemanship Specialty Camp


Ages 11-16


Does your camper dream of horses? Do they neigh in their sleep and post photos of horses all over their room? Then Camp Kulaqua’s Horsemanship camp is the place for them! During this week of camp, your camper will have the opportunity to learn all of the basics of horse care including grooming, feeding, equipment maintenance, and equine first aid. Your camper will have their ‘own’ horse for the week that they get to groom, ride, and spend their week with. Your cowgirl will learn basic riding techniques and skills with their horse and come back full of stories from their trail bag. Don’t worry, they will also get to participate in the other activities camp has to offer, like the water park, spring, and go-carts. And if that isn’t fun enough, evening programs are full of upbeat songs, amusing skits, and a dynamic speaker. This week is jam-packed with fun, activities, and God’s magnificent creature- the horse.

Kulaqua Retreat and Conference Center is hosting a “Road to Bethlehem” a live drive-through outdoor production of the the Christmas Story, which will include:


    

  • Drive-through Village

  • Live Animals

  • Music and scenes portraying the life of Jesus

We invite everyone to come drive The Road to Bethlehem and travel along the road through city merchants, see Mary & Joseph in the stables, and witness the angels appearing in the field!

Camp Kulaqua’s Fund Race is a virtual race organized to raise funds for our beloved camp. On September 6th, runners, youth, and families are invited to run a 5K. Cyclists can also join the race with a 25-mile bike ride. Choose your race, choose your location, enter your time through September 10th, and support the cause!



Camp Kulaqua, just the name brings back so many great memories. For some, it has been a retreat where we’ve experienced excitement, tranquility, and rest from the busyness of life. For others, it’s the place where we gave our life to Jesus.


Since 1954, Camp Kulaqua has encouraged many in their walk with Christ. One of camp’s most successful ministries is Summer Camp. Just last year there were 57 baptisms during summer camp alone, with 367 more campers deciding to commit their lives to Jesus.


The current situation has had a major effect on Camp Kulaqua. Many of the camp’s yearly events were canceled including Camp Meeting, Red Zone, many different church retreats, and of course, summer camp, which was the first cancelation in 67 years of camp history.


Camp Ministries has had an enormous impact on the Adventist church in Florida, and now is the time to give back.


There is a need for Camp Kulaqua’s overall operations, which include the feeding and maintaining of the animals. We can support camp during this time and ensure their ministry continues until operations run fully again.

All of Camp Kulaqua’s Summer Camp Programs offer a summer camp experience rich in fun, friendship, and adventure while in a Christian environment and Cub Camp at Kulaqua is no exception.


This unique Summer Camp program is for ages 7 – 9, providing them a time to come to camp at the same time while providing camper’s their own individualized experience.


Each age group is divided into tracks:

About Kulaqua’s Cub Camp 


Our goals for your camper at all of our Summer Camp programs are:


1. To see Jesus in our staff, and to help campers build a relationship  with Jesus Christ.
 2. To build memories through a care-free environment and enjoyable activities and friendships.
 3. To know your child is cared for. Kulaqua is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and follows their standards.

Cub Camp


Ages 7-9


Your young camper’s adventure at summer camp is about to begin. Our Cub Camp counselors are trained through an ACA accredited program especially for this age group and you can rest assured that your camper will be taken care of by our energetic staff. They will rotate throughout the day’s activities and evening programs with 24 hr. supervision of their assigned counselor. Cub campers will stay with their counselor/assistant counselor throughout the entire week and experience all that camp has to offer with their cabin family. Camp has designed a program just for their age group, giving them worship songs they will enjoy and skits they’ll love. We want to bring God to your child in a way that they will be able to experience His love and come to know Him in a lasting relationship.

Ages 10-12


Junior Camp is a great camp experience for boys and girls ages 10-12 looking for adventure!


Each day begins with a special morning program and fun activities of their choosing, and then each day is ends with a fun worship service and devotional.

At Kulaqua we believe that Teen Summer Camp should be a great experience, not just a bunch of boring stuff to keep them busy!


So we’ve put together a camp where they can hang out and enjoy programs and activities that were designed with them in mind.

Cowgirl’s Horsemanship Specialty Camp


Ages 11-16


Does your camper dream of horses? Do they neigh in their sleep and post photos of horses all over their room? Then Camp Kulaqua’s Horsemanship camp is the place for them! During this week of camp, your camper will have the opportunity to learn all of the basics of horse care including grooming, feeding, equipment maintenance, and equine first aid. Your camper will have their ‘own’ horse for the week that they get to groom, ride, and spend their week with. Your cowgirl will learn basic riding techniques and skills with their horse and come back full of stories from their trail bag. Don’t worry, they will also get to participate in the other activities camp has to offer, like the water park, spring, and go-carts. And if that isn’t fun enough, evening programs are full of upbeat songs, amusing skits, and a dynamic speaker. This week is jam-packed with fun, activities, and God’s magnificent creature- the horse.

Ages 10-12


This is a great camp experience for the camper looking for adventure. We encourage each junior camper to exercise their enthusiastic spirit by choosing two of their favorite activities to enjoy every weekday morning. Each morning, campers will attend the classes they selected during registration. In the afternoon, they will rotate through activities with their cabin mates. No matter what, your camper will be able to enjoy all that summer camp has to offer. Each day is started with a special morning program, and each day is ended with a fun worship service and devotional. We have special programs and activities planned for your camper and we look forward to sharing our excitement with them. Our hope is for your camper to enjoy activities throughout the day, building new friendships through the week, and to experience God’s love through his/her lifetime. Welcome to Camp Kulaqua’s Summer Camp!

			

				
				
				
				
				
Camp Kulaqua’s Summer Camp offers a summer camp experience rich in fun, friendship, and adventure while in a Christian environment. Our unique Summer Camp program allows campers ages 13 to 17 to come to camp at the same time while providing camper’s their own individualized experience.


We have found that providing a camper with a program that is specifically designed for them, they are happier and more interested.


Our goals for your camper at Summer Camp are:


1. To see Jesus in our staff, and to help campers build a relationship  with Jesus Christ.
 2. To build memories through a care-free environment and enjoyable activities and friendships.
 3. To know your child is cared for. Kulaqua is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and follows their standards.

Teen Camp


Ages 13-17


Summer Camp for Teens should be a great experience, not a bunch of boring stuff to keep them busy! We’ve put together a camp where they can hang out and enjoy programs and activities that were designed with them in mind. Special games and events are planned for your teen that will include the activities on camp with some creative twists of our own. Your teen will also be able to sign up for activities they wish to enjoy while at camp.

Cub Camp


Ages 7-9


Cub Camp has designed a program designed for kids ages 7-9.

Junior Camp


Ages 10-12


Junior Camp is a great camp experience for boys and girls ages 10-12 looking for adventure!


Each day begins with a special morning program and fun activities of their choosing, and then each day is ends with a fun worship service and devotional.

Cowgirl’s Horsemanship Specialty Camp


Ages 11-16


Does your camper dream of horses? Do they neigh in their sleep and post photos of horses all over their room? Then Camp Kulaqua’s Horsemanship camp is the place for them! During this week of camp, your camper will have the opportunity to learn all of the basics of horse care including grooming, feeding, equipment maintenance, and equine first aid. Your camper will have their ‘own’ horse for the week that they get to groom, ride, and spend their week with. Your cowgirl will learn basic riding techniques and skills with their horse and come back full of stories from their trail bag. Don’t worry, they will also get to participate in the other activities camp has to offer, like the water park, spring, and go-carts. And if that isn’t fun enough, evening programs are full of upbeat songs, amusing skits, and a dynamic speaker. This week is jam-packed with fun, activities, and God’s magnificent creature- the horse.
